No! All of our introductory lessons, tours, and summer camp packages include high-quality paddleboards, paddles, safety whistles, and Transport Canada-approved PFDs (Life Jackets). If you prefer to wear your own fitted life jacket, you are welcome to bring it. Kids under 8 need to bring their own PFDs.
-
What to Wear: Swimwear, board shorts, or quick-drying athletic clothes. We also highly recommend bringing water shoes or sandals/slippers to protect your feet on the shore. Note: Please avoid standard cotton clothes (like jeans or heavy hoodies), as they get very heavy and cold when wet.
What to Bring: A towel, sunscreen, a hat, a strap to keep your sunglasses safe, a water bottle, and a dry change of clothes for after your session.
-
While you do not need to be an Olympic swimmer, all participants must be comfortable floating in deep water while wearing a properly fitted PFD (Life Jacket). Safety is our absolute priority, and our Paddle Canada-certified instructors are with you every step of the way.
-
Don't worry at all! Our introductory classes are completely tailored to your comfort and skill level. We start on the grass first, then transition to kneeling on the water before ever attempting to stand. Many paddlers spend their entire first lesson comfortably kneeling or sitting—it’s still an incredible workout and tons of fun!
-
Stand-up paddleboarding is highly dependent on wind and water conditions. We closely monitor the local weather and will run sessions in light rain or calm overcast conditions. However, in the event of high winds, heavy thunderstorms, or lightning, we will cancel the session for your safety. If we cancel due to weather, you will be given the option to reschedule or receive a full refund.
-
Due to our small class sizes and limited board availability, we require at least 24 hours' notice before your scheduled class to cancel or reschedule your reservation. Cancellations made outside of this 24-hour window will forfeit the class fee.
-
Our "SUP with Your Pup" session is a private 75-minute lesson focused on safely introducing your dog to the board, practicing balance with added weight, and learning water exit/entry commands. You must bring your own dog-specific life jacket (with a sturdy handle on the back), as we only provide safety gear for human participants.
-
No, lunches and snacks are not included in our camp packages. Because our camps run from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (including a supervised one-hour lunch break at noon), please ensure your camper comes packed with a nut-free lunch, plenty of hydrating snacks, and a refillable water bottle.
-
As a mobile outfitter, we bring the adventure directly to you across Ontario! Our primary summer programs are hosted on Lake Simcoe in Barrie or Lake Ontario in Oakville, but we are fully flexible and can coach on multiple lakes throughout the region.
When you submit your booking inquiry, just let us know your general location. We will recommend the absolute best and safest launch spots and beaches near you. Once your session or camp is officially locked in, we will send you a text or email with a direct pin drop and clear instructions on exactly where to meet your coach!

Yes, absolutely. Your safety is our top priority. Every participant is required to wear a properly fitted Life Jacket / PFD (Personal Flotation Device) at all times while on the water.
